Monetary Donations

Our school is dependent on help from individuals and business friends in our community. Support for these at-risk children in preschool and additional students in after-school activities at Coal Pit is done on a surprisingly small budget, and is only made possible by generous donors.

Coal Pit is providing a critically important function in our local community and we need your help to make this possible. Your contribution will have a direct impact on the lives of these children and will start them on the path to becoming a responsible and contributing citizen of our society.

Volunteer

We have many volunteers who graciously help us but we are always welcoming new volunteer friends! The children love to have stories read to them. Also, we need volunteers to help at lunchtime, both with preparation and organization. We’re very flexible and appreciate the help.

Provide Food and Supplies

We are constantly in need of the following food items:

• Both canned & fresh fruit and vegetables
• Pasta lunches
• Bread
• Milk
• Frozen mini-pizzas
• Cookies and potato chips
• Other assorted snacks

We are also frequently in need of the following supplies:

• Paper plates and cups
• Plastic spoons and forks
• Napkins
• Toilet paper
• Facial tissues
• Paper towels
• Drawing or art paper
• Magic markers and pens
• Good used toys
